OUR PHILOSOPHY
GODSPEED SPORTS PERFORMANCE is a company with depth and ever-increasing dimension. Neither our interest or concern lie solely in creating an individual who wins at any cost. We aim to build a relentlessly competitive athlete while instilling a binding commitment to Honor- on and off the field. An athlete in pursuit of excellence, who is never satisfied with his/her current skill set but one that pushes his/her body daily to achieve what is unattainable to everyone but them- individual excellence. Early on we explain the mantle that comes with striving for excellence- responsibility. For your actions- public and private, your teammates, your performance, your fans- our athletes understand their accountability to these. By infiltrating the mind, body, and spirit with Biblically-based concepts and ideas geared toward the excellence we advocate, our system produces keen athletes who know the keys to longevity in the athletic arena as well as in life. Our program seeks to give teams "instant players" who can be taught any appropriate tactical scheme while offering society individuals who will build up the foundations of a strong community instead of tearing them down.
Today's competitive athletic climate puts individualized athletic attention at a premium. Godspeed Sports Performance is Jacksonville's only sports enhancement program that ensures our clients competence and maturity while engaged in both competition, while requiring that they be positive participants in the community. By utilizing the training sessions or the occasional huddle, these values are being infused into our athletes in atmospheres ranging from relaxed to high-strung, and thus learning to receive skill and wisdom in any thematic climate. It is our utmost desire to advance our athletes physically, competitively, and spiritually. Our purpose is to live out the sermon before them in hopes that they will begin to live it themselves.
OUR HEAD COACH
Coach Marts has experience and success developing athletes of all ages and from many sports. What is unique about Godspeed is that we can train using traditional drills or we can design a drill a drill to enhance a specific skill that is necessary for the next step in attaining a desired goal. Each one of our clients can truly say that they receive personal instruction and not a “cookie cutter” program. Every athlete is different and has different needs, so we treat them as such.
